Tess Hankey

Outreach and Development Coordinator

Tess hails from Marietta, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta.  Upon graduating from Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina with a degree in history, she enrolled in an Americorps program with the California Conservation Corps in their Backcountry Trails Program.  Camping in Yosemite for six months gave her a love of the outdoors and the west so she moved to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, working in the service and non-profit sectors.  She subsequently took a Crew Leader position with the Montana Conservation Corps which brought her to Bozeman, Montana.  While she left Bozeman at the completion of her Americorps term, she knew in her mind that she wanted to eventually move back.  After stints in Jackson Hole and Nashville, Tennessee in the sales and special events side of the craft beer industry, she felt the call to return to the nonprofit world in the place she loves most, Bozeman.
