Create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.
In 2025 we served over 250 children in Southwest Montana.
For more than 100 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters has been the gold standard when it comes to mentoring programs. As the nation’s largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between volunteers “Bigs” and youth “Littles”, in communities and schools across the nation. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of those involved.
At Big Brothers Big Sisters of Big Sky Country, we believe every young person deserves someone in their corner. Through thoughtfully matched, professionally supported mentoring relationships, we connect Bigs and Littles across Southwest and Eastern Montana.
Our mentoring relationships are built on trust, consistency, and connection, helping young people build confidence, discover new opportunities, and achieve their goals. Every match is supported by our experienced team to ensure a safe, positive, and meaningful experience for both Bigs and Littles.
Since 1973, we have been helping create life-changing friendships that strengthen children, families, and communities. Today, we proudly offer both community-based and school-based mentoring programs in Gallatin, Park, Madison, and Yellowstone counties, connecting more youth with caring mentors who can make a lasting difference.

Through our national network, our volunteers, families, and staff have access to industry-leading training, resources, and best practices that help every mentoring relationship succeed.
Safety Comes First.
The safety and well-being of every child is at the heart of everything we do. That's why every volunteer completes a comprehensive enrollment process that includes an application, interview, criminal background check, fingerprinting, reference checks, and additional screening measures. We thoughtfully evaluate every applicant and only approve volunteers who meet our high standards for safety, responsibility, and commitment. Families can feel confident knowing that every match begins with a strong foundation of trust.
Ongoing Support - Every Step of the Way
Creating a match is just the beginning. Our experienced program staff provide ongoing support to every Big, Little, and family throughout the mentoring relationship. Through regular check-ins, coaching, and resources, we help matches navigate challenges, celebrate milestones, and continue building strong, lasting connections. These conversations also allow us to monitor safety, provide guidance, and ensure every participant has the support they need to thrive.
