Big Timber Program Manager

Overview of Position

The Big Timber Program Manager is responsible for managing the site-based and community-based program in Big Timber, MT. The main roles of this position include program enrollment, match facilitation and support to ensure child safety, positive impacts for youth, and constructive and satisfying relationships between youth and volunteers. This role requires a high-level of customer service, organization, and focus on youth safety, and program needs. This role is also key in creating a strong sense of affiliation with BBBS on the part of program participants and school leadership and staff.

The Big Timber Program Manager will need to be available to support the program matches for the site-based program in Big Timber, Montana.

Role Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Follow BBBS Standards and Service Delivery Model for all program steps.

  2. Manage Big & Little recruitment for Big Timber Site-Based Programs

  3. Manage enrollment of Bigs & Littles, including interviews, and ensure all paperwork is collected in an accurate, timely manner.

  4. Facilitate matching process, supervision, and closure for Big Timber program participants.

  5. Manage match support contacts and ensure they are completed on time and documented according to BBBS Standards.

  6. Prepare & facilitate training for Bigs & Littles.

  7. Coordinate & oversee program activities in Big Timber ensuring child safety at all times.

  8. Ensure that any problems and/or questions from youth (Bigs & Littles) parents, teachers, & school administration are promptly and courteously resolved.

  9. Support Volunteer Recognition for Bigs

  10. Facilitate continual contact with school administration.

  11. Communicate and collaborate with other BBBS Program staff

  12. Maintain accurate and timely records of all files required by the agency, BBBS of America, and funding sources.

  13. Ensure records are in the agency management platform, Matchforce.

  14. Propose Big Timber program budget for approval in annual budget and work within the approved operating budget.

  15. Represent the agency in an appropriate manner at all times. Provide knowledgeable oral and written responses to public inquiries regarding the BBBS Program.

  16. Promote the Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) program to the school and other organizations


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The person in this position must demonstrate good written, verbal, organizational, and time-management skills. Proficient in Microsoft and/or Google Doc applications. Must possess a positive attitude toward self and others and have the ability to work independently, work under stress, and deal with people in a variety of situations. Awareness of resources available in the community is also helpful.

Salary

Salary will be based on experience and will range from $15-20 per hour. This is a part time position and will be 10-20 hours per week.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (social services, education, human resources, or related field preferred) or at least one year experience with social service organizations.

This position will report directly to the Program Director.
