Community Based - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Big Sky Country BBBS Volunteer Application

PROGRAM

PROGRAM

Community Based

In the Community Program, we "match" volunteers (Bigs) with children (Littles.) These matches typically spend time enjoying activities together 4-6 hours per month. During these outings, they cultivate relationships that support children in developing skills to manage everyday challenges and build self-confidence.

We serve any child (ages 5-18) in our service area who wants or needs a positive adult role model (we believe this is EVERY child!). A volunteer Big (which can be a Big Brother, Big Sister, Big Couple, or Big Family) becomes a friend to the child and the relationship is supported by professional staff at Big Brothers Big Sisters. Through simple friendship, Bigs experience the joy of helping children discover a world of possibilities and opportunities. Hear from Bigs & Littles in our program here.

Bigs can be an individual or volunteer as a couple or family! We have had many successful Big Couples and Big Families and often times that is a better option for people looking for a volunteer opportunity. As a Big Couple or Big Family you enroll together and can enjoy spending time with your Little together as well. Contact us with any questions or if you would like additional information. Littles and Bigs come from all walks of life and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Big Sky Country is accepting of everyone! Ready to take the first step and apply? Click here to fill out an application.

National research has shown that positive relationships between Littles and their Bigs have a direct and measurable impact on children’s lives. By participating in our programs, Little Brothers and Sisters are:
