Before becoming a mentor I was struggling with feelings of hopelessness in this complicated current world, and empathy burn out was a fine line I was walking, but since becoming a volunteer with BBBS I have discovered that compassion is a never-ending source in ourselves. This organization brings hope and fun to hard times and even having the smallest impact in my little's life has allowed me to find to love and hope in myself that I was searching for in the world. Above all, having fun with my little has taught me to become the change I want to see in the world.
